PS Technical Consultant

Grade: 11

Location: Hyderabad, India

Position Summary

This position presents an exciting opportunity to be part of a team that is dedicated to transforming our clients' businesses and making a significant impact in the Convenience Fuel Retail (CFR) industry. As a key player in our organization, you will be instrumental in driving our vision and strategy, and delivering innovative solutions to clients in the CFR division

The successful candidate for this role will report to the Technical Manager of Professional Services for Storepoint within the CFR division. As a member of the professional services team, you will work closely with other team members and stakeholders to deliver high-quality technical solutions and services to our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Communicate effectively with clients to understand and identify their business needs and requirements
  • Collaborate with technical teams within the organization to analyze and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Windows operating systems, TCP/IP, gateways, firewalls, and DNS.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure clear and concise communication in both written and verbal form.
  • Apply analytical and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot technical issues and develop effective solutions.
  • Manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Candidate is expected to work during the US Business Hours (Eastern Time zone).

Key Skills (Must-Have):

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a technical support or similar role.
  • Experience in Retail and Convenience Store Software solutions, with a focus on POS technology
  • Experience with XML and SQL Server is a ‘must’.
  • Expertise in C++ programming.
  • OOPs, Network Programming [TCP/IP],Multi-threading
  • Data Formats XML, Microsoft DOM, JSON
  • Hands-on experience with Installations on Windows OS environments. Install, troubleshoot, and configure technical issues , possible failovers related to Operating Systems.
  • Hands-on experience on InstallSheets.
  • Demonstrated ability to read ,analyze the logs and troubleshoot complex technical issues related to Windows operating systems, TCP/IP, gateways, firewalls, and DNS.
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and communicate effectively with clients, team members, and stakeholders.
  • Effective proactive liaison with other teams in resolving Client issues.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a matrix organization and manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Ability to accommodate short notice travel to other NCR sites and/or customer sites

Key Skills (Nice-to-Have):

  • Experience working in a project-oriented environment.
  • Experience Working with International Retailers.
  • Experience with Linux OS.
  • Experience on Databases and Configurations.
